The service

When Buyers Ask runs buyer-style questions through search-grounded AI engines and reports whether a given business was named, who was named instead, and how the cited pages compare. Results describe what an engine returned at a point in time.

No guarantee of placement

AI answers are synthesized and non-deterministic. The same question can return different sources minutes apart. We do not guarantee that acting on our findings will get you named in any AI answer, and we are not affiliated with OpenAI, Perplexity, Google or any engine we query.

Acceptable use

• Don't use the service to test domains you have no legitimate interest in at scale.
• Don't attempt to bypass free-tier limits, rate limits, or authentication.
• Don't resell or republish our reports as your own product without written permission.

Free tier

Anyone can run a check on the home page without an account: one engine and 2 buyer questions. A free account gets 3 credits a month, which covers one full run of 5 questions across both engines. Page-level diagnosis and PDF reports are on the paid plans. We may change these limits as the product develops.

Credits

Plan credits are granted each billing month and do not carry over to the next month. Top-up credits you buy separately stay on your account while it is open. Credits have no cash value and cannot be transferred between accounts. If a run fails on our side, its credits are returned automatically.

Your account

Keep your sign-in details to yourself: you are responsible for activity under your account. We may suspend or close an account that breaks the acceptable use rules above, and we will tell you why. You can close your account at any time by emailing us.

Who owns what

We own the software, the scoring method and the wording of our reports. You own your business information, and you may use the reports we produce for you inside your own business or with your own clients. You may not resell the tool itself or pass our reports off as your own product.

Refunds and cancellations

Run the free check before you buy. We do not offer refunds for change of mind, and you can cancel a plan at any time to stop the next renewal. Failed runs return their credits automatically. None of this limits the consumer guarantees under the Australian Consumer Law. Full detail is in our refund policy.

Availability and liability

We aim to keep the service running but do not promise it will be uninterrupted or error free, and third-party AI engines can change or go down without notice. Nothing here excludes, restricts or modifies the consumer guarantees in the Australian Consumer Law, which cannot be excluded. Where the law allows us to limit our liability, our liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.

Changes and governing law

If we change these terms we will update this page and the date at the top, and tell account holders by email when the change is material. These terms are governed by the law of New South Wales, Australia, and the courts there have jurisdiction, without affecting rights you have where you live.
